·    Retinal imaging is an important tool for the screening and diagnosis of eye problems, such as
     retinal detachment, glaucoma, cataracts, retinal holes/retinal tears and age-related macular
     degeneration, it can also indicate evidence of non-eye diseases, such as diabetes,
     hypertension and certain cancers.

·    The photograph takes a second on each eye and is painless

·    We will store your photograph for future comparison.

·    You will be able to see inside your own eye !

Nolke Opticians has also invested in a Retinal Camera. This camera takes a digital photograph of the inside back surface of your eye known as your RETINA. This includes your optic nerve head, retinal arteries and viens as well as your macula – the part of your eye used for central vision. Retinal photography allows your optometrist to view your retina in its entirety as well as record it for future comparison. As well as viewing the health of the eye it also gives a clear indication of the bodies vascular state, monitoring conditions such as Blood pressure, Cholesterol and Diabetes.
